Charity Shops
Retail Upgrade
During the Covid-19 latest lock down, the windows have received a long overdue upgrade, using the latest low energy LED lighting, carpeting and some props, ready for the December restriction lift.
We hope the attention to detail will enhance our customer experience and contribute some cheer and good will in the town, encouraging the public to shop locally.
Please Give A Little Time
Our charity shops are located in Minehead and Tiverton
Our policy is not to buy products to resell (trade), this policy was put in place in 2000 and we have managed to survive by accepting a complete range of donated goods, some new, generously donated by the public.
The shops are run mostly by volunteers who donate their time, to receive donations and serve customers. The attraction for volunteers is they help raise funds, and meet new people, have a natter, and usually put the world to rights!
If you can spare a few hours, please fill out the online form and our manager will be in touch, if you persuade a friend to join you even better!
Our shop procedures are simple and so are the tills. Please give as much time as you can afford, and be a part of our friendly team, dedicated to helping animals less fortunate than our own.
Shop Donations
We are grateful for all donations, good quality saleable items of bric-a-brac, DVD's clothing, bedding, curtains, books, small items of furnisher, smaller working electrical items, etc are perfect and always sell.
To get the most out of your donated goods, the items, if not sold in the shop donated to, the items are circulated between the shops to get a wider audience.
We are unable to take microwaves, used duvets and pillows, Printers, video’s, electric blankets.
For items we are unable to sell we are charged £135.00 per ton to dispose of, so your co-operation is greatly appreciated
If in doubt please ask one of our volunteers or e-mail the office.
